Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mash the ripe bananas. Mix in melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients; stir until just combined.
  5. Fold in optional mix-ins if desired.
  6. Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are set.
