  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple vinegar
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced (red and green)
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef in a bowl with cornstarch, soy sauce, and apple vinegar for 10-15 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together ketchup, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, apple vinegar, brown sugar, chili garlic sauce, and cornstarch mixed with water until smooth.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Stir-fry garlic and onion for about 2 minutes before adding bell peppers. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  4. Push the vegetables aside and cook the marinated beef in the center until browned (4-5 minutes).
  5. Pour the sauce over the beef and vegetables; toss until well coated and heated through (about 2 minutes).
  6. Serve immediately with steamed rice or noodles.
