Ingredients

Scale
  • 13.8 ounce tube refrigerated pizza dough
  • 3 black olives (for eyes)
  • 1 piece of red bell pepper (for tongues)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for brushing)
  • 2 teaspoons poppy seeds
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Cut the black olives into small pieces and the red bell pepper into forked tongues; set aside.
  3. Unroll the pizza dough onto a clean surface and cut into 12 strips along the long side.
  4. Roll each strip into about 12-inch ropes, tapering one end for the tail and flattening the other for the head.
  5. Wrap each rope around a greased wooden chopstick or metal straw to create snake shapes.
  6. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with poppy seeds and sesame seeds.
  7. Place olive pieces on top of each snake's head for eyes.
  8. Bake on parchment-lined baking sheets for about 11 to 15 minutes until golden brown; let cool slightly before removing from chopsticks.
  9. Thread red pepper pieces into the flat end of each snake as tongues.
