  • 2 Granny Smith Apples, cubed
  • 1 cup water plus 1 tablespoon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
  • 2 cups pretzels
  • 25 caramel squares

Instructions

  1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix 1 cup water with lemon juice to create lemon water.
  3. Core and cube the apples; soak them in lemon water to prevent browning.
  4. Melt 2 cups of chocolate chips in the microwave until smooth.
  5. Pour melted chocolate onto the baking sheet and spread evenly.
  6. Press pretzels into the chocolate layer.
  7. Drain and pat dry apples; set aside.
  8. Melt caramels with 1 teaspoon of water until smooth.
  9. Drizzle caramel over the pretzels.
  10. Layer dried apple cubes on top of the caramel and press gently.
  11. Drizzle remaining melted chocolate over the apples.
  12. Refrigerate until fully set; cut into pieces.
