  • 1 cup granulated sugar for cheesecake
  • 3 large eggs for cheesecake
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract for cheesecake
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup granulated sugar for caramel
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter for caramel
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream for caramel
  • 1 tsp sea salt for caramel

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the brownie layer by melting butter and mixing it with sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Gradually combine with sifted flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  3. Pour brownie batter into a greased springform pan and bake for 25–30 minutes until set.
  4. Prepare the cheesecake layer by beating cream cheese, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and sour cream until smooth.
  5. Pour over cooled brownie layer and bake for an additional 30–35 minutes until set.
  6. For the caramel sauce, melt sugar in a saucepan until golden brown; stir in butter and heavy cream.
  7. Drizzle warm caramel over the cooled cheesecake and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
