  • 15 oz can tomato sauce
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 15 oz can Great Northern beans, rinsed and drained
  • 15 oz can Kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup ditalini pasta
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium heat. Cook ground beef until browned, about 3-5 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add diced carrots, onion, celery, and minced garlic; sauté for 3-4 minutes until onions are soft.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and cooked beef; mix well.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and add both types of beans. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Add ditalini pasta, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; cook for another 10 minutes until pasta is tender.
  6. Stir in fresh basil before serving hot.
