  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small sweet onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup unsalted beef stock
  • 1 ounce au jus gravy mix
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, thinly sliced
  • Fresh chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the sirloin steak pieces with kosher salt and black pepper.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and sear half of the steak pieces until browned on all sides; repeat with remaining steak.
  3. Transfer all seared steak pieces to a 6-quart Crockpot.
  4. Add sliced onion and garlic to the Crockpot and gently mix.
  5. Pour beef stock over the mixture and sprinkle au jus gravy mix on top.
  6. Lay slices of butter over the top to enhance flavors.
  7. Cover and cook on HIGH for 3–4 hours or LOW for 6–8 hours until tender.
