  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8-inch round cake pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together yogurt, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, egg yolks, and sugar until smooth.
  3. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt into another bowl. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing gently.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk egg whites until soft peaks form; gradually add sugar and whisk until stiff peaks form.
  5. Fold egg whites into the batter gently in two or three additions.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
